Welcome!
All right folks, we’re good to go for the 4th Annual Big Horn
Mountain Festival! Last year was a hoot and it’s looking like another
home run is in the works. Plan on seeing
the Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band, Don Edwards, Kenny and Amanda Smith, The Byron
Berline Band with Barry “Bones” Patton, Clumsy Lovers, The Sibleys, Jalan
Crossland, Jeff Troxel, and more. You can learn about the great artists
and their schedules in Bands. There are plenty of ways to have fun, including the Wyoming
Mandolin and Banjo Championships, an Old Time
Fiddle Contest, and a Guitar
contest too. Winners of the mandolin, banjo, and fiddle contest all earn guaranteed slots at the Walnut Valley Festival contests in Winfield, Kansas. The Band
Scramble is always a good time, a variety of workshops are planned where you can pick up some tips from your favorite performers, and vendors, instrument raffles (including a nice Weber F mandolin),
great folks, and lots of jamming all add to a super time. So put
it all together and it’s time to mark your calendars for July 11, 12, and 13, 2008 for the 4th Annual Big Horn Mountain Festival.
The beautiful Big Horn Mountains frame the festival at the Johnson
County Fairgrounds where you will enjoy the true festival experience. Bring your tent, camper, or RV and spend the
entire weekend with us and enjoy some of the best parkin' lot pickin' in the
Rocky Mountains. Visit Camping & Lodging
to learn more about camping or to locate one of the area motels. The
Buffalo Wild Bunch will be back cooking up a storm and there will be many other
food vendors on the festival grounds. Check out the Venue
for general information and directions to the Fairgrounds, the pancake
breakfast, and more. You can now buy tickets online or from local outlets listed on the tickets page. If you want to
volunteer in exchange for day or weekend ticket, fill out an online application
and learn more about how you can help in the Volunteer section.
Information and an application form are also available if you are
interested in being a festival vendor. Of course, our festival wouldn't
happen without our generous sponsors
and we encourage you to patronize their businesses.
