The Bluegrass Camps for Kids returned for the 2015 festival. It is a bluegrass and folk music program for children aged 9 to 18, organized and taught by members of the hard driving Bay Area band, Front Country. Children chose from a wide range of classes, including all levels of guitar, bass, banjo, fiddle, and vocals. For more information, visit the Workshops section.

This website is the source for information about the festival, so be sure and check back here often to keep up with the latest news about all the activities, happenings, and plans. We also update Facebook when something is updated on the website.

We had another fantastic lineup for 2015, check
out their bios in the Bands section.

There was lots of fun in 2015, including the Wyoming Mandolin and Banjo Championships, an Old Time Fiddle Contest, and a Guitar contest too, with the winners of the mandolin, banjo, and fiddle contest all winning guaranteed slots at the Walnut Valley Festival contests in Winfield, Kansas. The Band Scramble will be held on Saturday afternoon, and there will be a variety of workshops hosted by our performers. We'll have instrument raffles, food and craft vendors, a pancake breakfast, great folks, and lots of jamming. It will all add up to a super time.

Each year, the beautiful Big Horn Mountains frame the festival at the Johnson County Fairgrounds where you will enjoy the true festival experience. Bring your tent, camper, or RV and spend the entire weekend with us and enjoy some of the best parkin' lot pickin' in the Rocky Mountains. We had a fantastic group of pickers back in the campground this year.

Visit Camping & Lodging to learn more about camping or to locate one of the area motels. There will be many food vendors on the festival grounds and be sure to try our premium craft beers. Check out the Venue for general information and directions to the Fairgrounds, the pancake breakfast, and more.

If you want to volunteer in exchange for a day or weekend ticket, fill out an online application and learn more about how you can help in the volunteer section.  Information and an application form are also available if you are interested in being a festival vendor.  Of course, our festival wouldn't happen without our generous sponsors and we encourage you to patronize their businesses or become a sponsor yourself.
