2009 Raffle
(Rules subject to change)
The
raffle gives folks a chance to win great prizes, including Grand Prize
instruments, and helps us fund the Big Horn Mountain
Festival.
It’s a very important part of the festival and we sincerely thank
everyone who contributes prizes or buys tickets.
We
especially thank the folks at Hansen
Music in Billings, Montana
and our friends and luthiers at Weber
Mandolin in Bozeman, Montana
for supporting the Big Horn Mountain Festival since the beginning, by
providing instruments for the raffle.
All
instruments and prizes will be on display at the Festival Merchandise
Booth where you can get your tickets. Just for fun, and to
keep
it simple, tickets are 1 for $5, 3 tickets for $10, and 7 tickets for
$20 (notice that as the price per ticket goes down as your
odds of
winning go up;
assuming other folks aren't also buying a lot
of tickets that is).
The
instrument drawing will be held on Sunday
just before the last show. You do not have to be present to
win a Grand
Prize instrument; just make sure your name and phone number are on the
back of
your tickets so we can call you and make arrangements to get the
instrument to
you. Sorry, but you are out of luck if we can't locate you.
Special Instrument
Raffle Offer, Win the Mando And Help Us Pay For Bands
This
is a big fundraiser to help keep the festival going, and since you
don’t have to be present to win an instrument, anyone can
participate. If you want some mandolin tickets in early, or
can’t
attend the fetival, send a check to Raffle Coordinator Bill Bradshaw
and he’ll fill out some tickets for you and send your ticket half back
to you. Send it to Bill at BHMF, 706 Adair, Sheridan, WY,
82801. Bill guarantees your tickets will be in the raffle
bucket
when it comes time to draw the winning ticket on Sunday. The
instrument will be shipped to you if you win. Good Luck! Here is the really nice Gallatin F model the folks at Weber just
sent for the 2009 raffle. They retail for $2,279. Bill’s played it and says it’s a really nice
sounding mandolin, so someone is going to be very happy indeed! Thanks to the folks at Weber, they are a
great bunch of folks.
